Make a Difference

Every animal that comes through CARA depends on compassionate people to help them feel safe, cared for, and ready for a new home. Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do—from daily care to adoption events.

Ways You Can Help

Animal Care

Help feed, clean, and spend time with our dogs and cats. Socializing animals makes a huge difference in their confidence and adoptability.

Events & Fundraising

Assist with adoption events, community outreach, and fundraising efforts that support our mission.

Transport & Support

Help transport animals to vet appointments, events, or foster homes when needed.

What to Expect

No special experience is required—just a willingness to help and a love for animals. We’ll help you get comfortable with whatever role you choose.

Volunteering can be flexible based on your availability, but consistency is always appreciated. Even a few hours can make a meaningful impact.

• Volunteers should be dependable and respectful of animal safety
• Some roles may require light physical activity
• We ask all volunteers to follow CARA guidelines and procedures
