New Volunteer Orientation

New to CARA and ready to get involved?

All new volunteers who would like to help at the CARA shelter are required to attend a New Volunteer Orientation. This onsite session will introduce you to CARA, our shelter and what you need to know before getting started as a volunteer.

During orientation, you’ll learn about:

• Volunteer opportunities at the shelter
• What to expect as a CARA volunteer
• Working around the dogs and cats in our care
• Important shelter procedures and guidelines
• How you can help make a difference for CARA’s animals
