Saluto! My name is Bella, because I am an Italian beauty. Dean Martin has sung many songs about me -- "Bella Cella Luna". And that's what they say about me -- I'm beautiful not only in body but also in spirit. I'm searching ever so diligently for that one special home; could you be it? I'm an energetic female but not overwhelmingly so. I love to jog and cuddle, (but not at the same time). I am good with other dogs and I simply love puppies, but naturally being Italian, I do prefer those of the male persuasion. I'll greet you with a wag of my tail and a hop, skip, and jump when you come home each day. Please come meet me! Until then, Ciao! Bella is about 1 year old and is current on vaccines, dewormed, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention and will be spayed prior to adoption. She is a shar pei/lab mix with a smidgen of chow thrown in for good measure. Her personality falls somewhere between a lab and shar pei. If you would like to adopt Bella, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
