If Bart is the Prince, I want to be a Princess. Can I be the Princess of your castle? You see, I was born to be a high-energy hunting dog, that is not afraid of any vermin. And while we are known as MinPin, we are also known as the "King of the Toy Dogs". That makes me Royalty. And don't try to tell me otherwise. I was born with as much self-confidence and attitude as you can squeeze into a tiny package like me. And those little legs of mine can outrun almost anybody.

To make it short, I want to be your friend, play with children and grandchildren, snuggle with you on the couch and watch a good movie, take long walks with you, snuggle with you on long car rides, go running with you in the neighborhood, snuggle with you in your office chair while you are trying to work, see the dogs and humans in the neighborhood, snuggle with you in the chair on the front porch while watching the neighbors, protect your home from all intruders, snuggle with you..... everywhere you sit down long enough to pick me up, snuggle...., snuggle......, snuggle some more....

I am heartworm negative, UTD on shots and preventatives, working on house manners and will be spayed.

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
