Hi I'm Sassie, my birthday is 7-25-13. Well being here at Cara is like starting your first day of school. They are teaching me all kinds of new things. They are teaching me to sit and wait and to walk nicely on a leash. They said that my sister and I are star pupils. I love the treats that they give me when I do good.

I love to play and run and I am learning how to chase a ball and what good manners are! I am going to be a medium size dog when I am grown up, probably 40 pounds or so. I have already been spayed and I am microchipped, and up to date on my shots!

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption
