Someone told me about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles the other day and about how they were exposed to some strange thing and at first it was scary and then they saved the planet! Well the story was something like that :) My name is Hope and I am your typical beagle, but I do not make a lot of noise at CARA if that is what your thinking. I live to smell all the things that make a yard great! I like grass, and trees and squirrels! I like other dogs too, but I do not want to chase them I just want to play a little and maybe even lay down with a friend and take a nap. I am 22 lbs and 2 years old. Before I came to CARA I had a problem with the.... fleas.... yes I was a victim of the fleas. As it turns out I was totally allergic to them and I lost most of my fur! I looked like those teenage turtles felt after they were dipped in whatever made them change. I was scared and itchy and when I was found by kind people they fixed me right up and now all my fur is coming back really nice and I do not have one flea on me! I am so ready for a home where I can be loved and kissed on like I have dreamed of all my life. I know its going to happen for me soon! Maybe it will be with you?"

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
