Have you heard that silly rumor that Orange tabbies are all male? Well Hope would like to set the record straight and let you know not only is she the color of a lovely autumn sunset but she is very much a girl :) Sweet, loving and playful - Hope would love to have a home where she is able to grow up to be part of a family :) If Hope is adopted out before she is three months of age he will need to be adopted out with a spay/neuter contract.

Our policy is that all adopted animals must be spayed or neutered before leaving the premises. If at any time an animal under the age of 4 months leaves our rescue group, the adopters must sign and agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter agrees to have the animal being adopted spayed/neutered by a veterinarian of their choice by the age of 4 months. As part of this contract an additional $100 deposit fee will be required. This deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter contract. North Carolina has one of the worst pet overpopulation problems in the U.S. and the CARA Organization is doing its part to ensure animals leaving the rescue group do not contribute to this overwhelming issue. All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (if old enough), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Wed, Fri & Sat from 10-2pm and Thursdays from 3-7pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at http://cara-nc.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?FormID=1927. Please call 919-774-9433, email adoptions@cara-nc.org, or visit www.cara-nc.org for information about this or other pets available for adoption.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
