I am Zeb! Make no mistake about that. I am the fluffiest Wiggle-Worm ever and I know no Fear. I make friends with everybody and everybody will be considered a playmate. Do you have children you want me to wear out for you? I hope you have a big yard, because my favorite game is chase. And tug-of-war. And hide-and-seek. And...... Just play with me!

I am still a brad..... puppy, I mean. As such, I am still working on that whole, boring manner thing. But since I am a really bright fellow, I think I can figure that out quick.

I started on my shots and they did all that stuff where they make you eat yucky stuff and put something stinky on you. They call it preventatives and say it's good for you. Don't know about that. Maybe they can at least work on the taste of that. And I am falling under CARA's Spay/Neuter Contract too. That is really important. That's how my parents lost their home. I guess they didn't want so many of us.

It is CARA's policy to keep any new animal entering the facility in quarantine for 10 days. During this time animals are kept in isolation to ensure their health. They can not be adopted or visited until after their release date!

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them.
