Now how do I describe myself!? Hmmh. I'm a handsome little fellow and I was such a good boy when they took my pictures. And I only rolled my eyes a little... I do almost anything for a good treat; and I'll bet you I'll learn whatever you want that way. You see, the right arguments are so important. Nothing teaches a young pub more in less time than a good treat. Like giving candy to children. I don't like to be called a baby, but I will give them that I am young enough to learn anything. And if you don't mind that everything will look like a toy on the begin, until you teach me better, we'll be best friends. You see, my basic interests in life are playing, sleeping, eating, and.....(blushing), you know. But I am learning all those boring manners (in between playing with my siblings) and I think I have them down soon.

I have been started on all that poking around. I think they call that vaccinations. I call that Autsch. I even had to eat that yucky preventative stuff. And I will fall under CARA's Spay/Neuter Contract.

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
