Mara is a sweet and fun Shepherd mix who would love a home with a nice yard to run and play. Mara's mom was a shepherd and we think her daddy was a lab, so she has the best of both breeds!

Mara is very smart she knows basic obedience and is housetrained.

Mara likes to play with other dogs her size and bigger.

Mara has been spayed and is up-to-date on all vaccinations and is current on preventatives.

If you would like to adopt Mara, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at adoptions@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
