My name is Boo Berry. Don't I look like I am wearing a ghost costume? Or a mask perhaps? Either way, I am cute as a button. I weigh about 17lbs and am likely 1-2years old. I was found as a stray right here in Lee County and no one came to claim me. The rescue has learned that I like most dogs, but want all your attention. I am athletic as heck, but also laid back and LOVE sitting right next to you or on your lap. I also have a party trick where I can leap from the floor into your arms! I hope to meet you soon!!

 

*Special information regarding adopting puppies*

Our adoption fees are: 

*  Altered Dogs older than 1 year old $250 

*  Altered Dogs between 6 months to a year $275

* Puppies under 6 months who have not  been spayed or neutered or who have a medical reason why they cannot be altered before adoption - $235 plus S/N    Deposit: $ 100 

Our policy is that all adopted    animals    must be spayed or neutered    before leaving the premises. If at    any       time    an    animal    under the age of   6  months leaves our rescue group unaltered, the adopters must sign and    agree to our spay/neuter contract. This contract states each adopter    agrees to have the    animal    being adopted spayed/neutered by a    veterinarian of their choice by the age of 6 months. As part of this    contract an additional $ 100 deposit fee will be required. This    deposit fee will be refunded upon verification of the spay/neuter    contract. Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption
