Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.

My name is Hamtaro, but you can call me Baby Hammy : ) I was dumped on the side walk of the rescue with several other cats. I was so scared, but thankfully after a couple hours the humans arrived and took me in. They made sure I was clean, and fed. It took me just a couple days, but soon I began to really trust the humans and showed my true personality! I am a favorite around this place. I love sitting on your lap, climbing on your shoulder, getting my chin scratched and just being super close to you! I am a total love bug.

Sadly when I went into the vet for a routine neuter, they noticed a heart murmur. They were concerned enough to send me to a cardiologist. Thankfully after that consultation the humans learned that my heart is only irregular sounding when I am over excited or active. I do not need medication or a change in lifestyle at all! I can be a normal kitty! I was so relieved to find this out!

So now I just sit here and wait for a loving home! Please come meet me!!!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
