to fill out an application. My name is Picasso. I am a special boy. I am around 8 years old and weigh around 22 lbs. I was rescued as a puppy and remained in that same home until this week when I was surrendered. My family recently moved to North Carolina and has a small child. I was not adjusting to the move or the child in the home. I find small kids a bit unpredictable so they scare me. I really need a nice quiet environment to thrive. I get along with dogs and cats. I am pretty indifferent to them. I am comfortable in a crate if I need to be but prefer being right next to you. I walk well on leash and travel well in a car. I think I am pretty special, so I need a special home. My previous parents did a DNA test on me and I am made up of a ton of interesting breeds: Yorkie, Dachshund, Corgi. Chihuahua, ShihTzu, Bichon Frise, Schnauzer and SUPER MUTT! If you are experienced with senior dogs, and want a buddy for life that is laid back and so sweet but needs a long adjustment period, please apply for me!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
