He sadly did not have family who could keep me. Thankfully a family member did reach out to CARA for help, and since Luca came from CARA as a puppy, they were able to arrange help right away! They drove to meet us, and fell in love immediately. Sadly, they could tell that Polo, my doggy brother, was in need of vet care right away. Since our dad passed in may, we both went without crucial pain medication for months. Recently, after talking with our trusted vet, it was decided the best thing to do for Polo was to help him cross the rainbow bridge. While I really miss him I know it was what was best for him. Needless to say I am in dire need of getting adopted or fostered by someone special. Someone who understands that I have senior needs. I can't do stairs, and need some area rugs or carpet in the home so I do not slip and fall. I am housebroken. I likely do not need to be crated. I do not do well with cats. I prefer to be the only dog in the home. I prefer older children, so my environment is more calm and controlled. I really just need a safe place to live out the rest of my years. Please consider adopting this senior boy that REALLY need a hero!!!

Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
