to fill out an application. My name is Gizmo, but you can call me Gizzy. I am a 12 year old Cockapoo who was recently surrendered. I was in the same home for 12 years, but I was not very tolerant of the small child I lived with so I am here looking for a new home. I lived with a dog and a cat, so I am fairly social with other animals. I am a bit on the chunky side, so I definitely need to work on that. I am a pretty shy guy upon first meeting me, but I am going through a lot of changes in my life so of course I am a bit nervous. I really want to find someone who is going to spoil me for the remainder of my years! I am a pretty mellow guy, so finding a quiet and easy going home would be ideal for me. I also need someone who is going to make sure I am taken to the vet regularly as I am a senior pup! So far I have no major medical issues, but I do have an upcoming vet appointment. The rescue staff can tell I need a dental because I have some tartar built up. I also have been chewing on my little chunky feet so I might need a change in my food due to an allergy. If you think you can provide a great home for me please apply !!!!

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
