My ancestors were bred to be the perfect Police Dog, but I wouldn’t limit my talents to just that. Dogs like me excel in any sport and at any challenge and I am just made to be an all-around talent. But more important, I am your best friend. Like any dog I have all the skills to be the best Friend you will ever find. We make great and faithful companions and try so hard to please you. All we ask in return that you care and take care about us. And our love will be forever yours. No matter what you have in mind for me, child’s friend or partner at any job or game, I will give it my best effort to make you happy.

I am heartworm negative, UTD on Shots and Preventatives and neutered!

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
