to fill out an application. Hello. My name is Pooky. I am a shy little gal, who has not had the most pleasant start at life. One of my ears is missing a large part of it's tip, which means someone may have tried cutting it off, and unfortunately succeeded. I also came to CARA with some longer than normal nails and one was even embedded in my paw pad. I try not to remember any of this because it hurts my heart. All I know now is that I am safe and the CARA humans are giving me extra love so that I can learn to love humans again. I am very affectionate and am in need of a very special owner. I don't ever want to feel pain again. I have not been at CARA very long, but once I am available for viewing the humans here will post more about my personality and temperament. Love always, Pooky

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
