STOP! Look into my eyes....you are getting sleepy....you will adopt me today....you will take me to the pet store and buy me lots of good stuff....you can't resist me.....when I count to 3 you'll awaken and send in an application....1, 2, Oh shoot! I'm a dog, I don't know how to count! Oh well, since the hypnosis didn't work I'll tell you a bit about me. Hi! My name is Tipsy and I know, I know - another black lab mix. I didn't choose this color so please don't hold it against me. If I had a choice I would've picked something cooler - like purple. Bet if I was purple lab mix I would have a home by now. I was crossing the highway when a nice man stopped and offered me a ride. Why not? I know my mom said not to accept rides from strangers but I was sick of being outside. He had treats too. He asked around to see if I had a home but apparently I had been living at a ballpark off the highway for a few weeks surviving on whatever scraps anyone would feed me. I'm a little bit reserved with strangers but love to be their best buddy once I get to know them. I'm eager to please, just let me grow up a bit as I'm still a youngster, about 1 year old. Tipsy is current on vaccines, heartworm negative and dewormed, she will be spayed prior to adoption. If you would like to adopt Tipsy, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
