I followed some neighborhood kids home from the pool and that was my lucky day. They were nice enough to take care of me until CARA had room to take me in. I am Penny 2 because CARA had another Penny and I really liked my name :-) I've been spayed, am heartworm negative, and am current on vaccines. I'm a sweet gal but really prefer to be the only dog in the household. The only thing I'm missing is a family to love. Penny can be a bit bossy, so she needs to be the only pup in her new home or with a pup that doesn't mind her bossiness. If you would like to adopt Penny 2, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
