I'm a sweet gal and I can't say I deserve the life I have had. My previous owners got rid of all my puppies and then took me to Animal Control. The people at CARA took one look at my sweet face and knew I deserved a second chance. Of course, my previous owners didn't take very good care of me, so I had heartworms too. Things are looking up and I'm a happy girl. I'm now heartworm free, have been spayed, and am looking for a home where I will be loved and taken care of for the first time in my life. I'll happily take a stroll with you or just sit and watch TV. I just want someone to love me. If you would like to adopt Nelly, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

If you would like to adopt me or any of my friends, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at adoptions@cara-nc.org. Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
