"Hello everyone!
My name is Pepe, but my foster dad calls me Pepe Six Guns because I have extra toes on my back feet and he thinks that's super cool. My foster mom just says it's more to love, and I'm all about people loving on me!
I was found wandering around my foster family's neighborhood with my friend Daisy. I didn't have any collar or identification on me, so my foster mom took me in to make sure I was safe. She said she couldn't stand the thought of me getting hit or winding up in the shelter. She looked and looked, but no one ever claimed us so she decided it was her job to find us new homes that would take good care of us.
I'm a spunky little fellow, and I'm growing into my feet right now so I'm a little clumsy. I don't mind though because when I trip and fall over my foster mom rubs my tummy and I think that's the best ever. I'm a typical puppy, other than the extra toes, and I love to run and play. I like to jump up on people, but my foster mom keeps telling me not to. I do a good job not jumping most of the time but sometimes I get so excited I can't help myself! I’m really good about not going outside to do my business. I can hold it all night already! I am a puppy though so sometimes I have little accidents, but I really don’t want to go in the house. Sometimes I get excited or scared and I pee a little. I always prefer to do my business outside though!
I don't mind going in the kennel when it's time to take a nap, but I'd rather be playing. I love to get the big dogs to play by throwing myself on the ground in front of them and barking, or biting their tails. Sometimes they get mad a me and it hurts my feelings, but I get over it and go back for more!
I'm a clown, but I'm a smart clown. I know how too sit and I'm learning other tricks too. I'm really good on a leash as well. I don't pull or thrash around like some puppies do. I'm all about walking next to my person and being a good boy. I like to test things to see if I'm allowed to chew on them too. My foster mom tells me which ones are allowed and I do a good job remembering which ones are off limits!!
My foster mom said that Daisy has a new home. I’m sad that she’s going to be leaving me, but I’m hopeful that someone will want to take me. I’d love it if my forever family had other dogs, or even kids! My foster mom says that I'd be great with kids as long as there was an adult to make sure I wasn't being too rowdy for the very small ones. I'd be happy with anyone who will love me and take good care of me though!
Love, Pepe"

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
