One day my owner left the house and never came back. They tell me he went to heaven, and I'll see him again, but not just yet. In the meantime, my sister Sassy and I have been staying at different family members' houses, and then they brought us to this shelter. It's loud and scary here, and all these people that we don't know have been talking to us. I'm so scared because I don't know them. If I could spend some quality time with them, I would love to cuddle up on their laps. I'm a feisty guy that knows what I like. And I like treats! You can't get a physique like mine without them! My late owner took exceptional care of me. I have been neutered, am up to date on my vaccinations, am heartworm negative, and have perfect house manners. I would love to go to a home with my sister, Sassy. She's getting a little old, and I like to look out for her. Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
