Athletic fellow actively seaking fun loving individual that works (me) out and challenges my mind. Put me to work and I won't stop until you do! (I bet you I can outdo you on any game that requires lots of running!)

In the house I am well mannered (when you are at home). But since I am a supersmart fellow, very curious (thus tend to be bored when left to myself) and still a teenager, I am also perfectly crate-trained (See: Problem solved!).

Outside I am fun loving and active and always out for a good game. I do need a smart/agile dog-proof fence, since I can make Tarzan look old.
I get along great with the dogs at my foster home, but I think I prefer your company or the company of some charming Ladies. And while not against cats, they just don't seem to understand the fun of a good game of catch (That just takes the fun out of the whole thing!). But I listen very well (for a teenager) and try my best to please.

Since I am very smart and agile, I would be the perfect candidate for any high-energy dog occupation, if you are in the mood to teach me a thing or two.

I am up to date on shots, heartworm negative, neutered, on preventatives and seem to be housebroke.

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them.
