Thank you for considering adopting one of CARA's Special pets! To apply read about our adoption policies here to fill out an application.

Hi there, my name's Zoie! Whew! Can you give me my forever home? I first came to CARA via animal control. They picked me up wandering the street and though I was wearing a collar my people didn't put tags on me. Then I got adopted. I still live in my home but my friend isn't able to keep me. You see, he loves me lots but didn't realize the time an active, young border collie took. He is a business owner and is gone early each morning and home late each night. I get really, really bored and because there's nothing better to do I chew on his stuff. It's truly in my best interest that I find a home where my people have a bit more time to engage my active mind. I'm full of energy, and can run like the wind. I've heard about agility and obedience and I think they might be fun to try. I get along with other dogs (as long as they can tolerate me being a bit bossy) and children.

Zoie is current on vaccines, housetrained, spayed, heartworm negative and on prevention. She is about 9-12 months old and weighs about 40 lbs. If you would like to adopt Zoie, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application (If you have problems with our application, please e-mail us and we'll send you one via that) or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life. Thank you for looking to adopt!
