He was found with a female dog by a landlord days after the family had moved away and the landlord turned them over to animal control. From there, they came to CARA. Tucker's sister couldn't be saved, but he still has a chance with surgery. Tucker is a very sweet boy, only weighing about 15 lbs. full grown. At some point in Tucker's life, probably not too long ago, his front leg was broken. Because the injury had partially healed, he needs his leg amputated. Read on for more details. We desperately need donations so we can afford the surgery to amputate Tucker's leg. CARA does not have the funds to pay for this type of surgery. The total approximate cost of his surgery will be $400.00 and even $1.00 is appreciated! All donations are tax deductible. He is heartworm negative, current on vaccines, dewormed, deflead, and will be neutered prior to adoption. ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease. Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs, & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment).
