"Poor Calvin has just not been able to find his forever home. He's been with CARA since he was about 8 weeks old. Calvin can be very shy until he knows you and isn't always comfortable around strangers. He would benefit from an experienced dog owner who can work with him and bring him out of his shell. He would also benefit from having another canine companion since he's always had this type of companionship and becomes stressed and nervous being the only dog. He also needs an family where there are no younger children. Their quick moves make him very nervous. Calvin is very sweet and loves to give kisses and have his belly rubbed. He is housetrained and more than ready to have a family to call his own forever! Can you provide him the home he needs? Calvin is neutered, up-to-date on shots and dewormings. He is also on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention." If you would like to adopt Calvin, please visit CARA to fill out an on-line application or e-mail us at cara@cara-nc.org.

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them. Each animal has been loved and cared for by a small and determined group of people who want nothing more than to know each animal is safe for the rest of his or her life.
