HEY YOU GUYS!!!

Ok, here is the deal... My name is Alfalfa I just came back to CARA, because my family’s situation changed and they couldn’t keep me anymore.

I came to CARA when I was about 10 weeks old. I am now older and wiser and I am a really GREAT dog... truly. I know I am not cute and tiny anymore, but I am only about 40 lbs and I am done growing. I am great with kids, I love all other dogs and honestly I have to say I am REALLY smart.

As you can tell by my pictures, I am quite the athlete. If you like to go running or to ride your bike, I promise I won’t tire of it EVER! And if you have children that have too much energy, let me the honor to wear them out. My favorite games are racing, hide-and-seek and chasing/being chased. I have so much fun with the children here, I cannot find words for it.

I have been spending some time at a local training academy and I know how to sit, heel, lay down, and even will stay for a minute or two. Please come meet me. I am such a good boy and I am ready for my special home.

I am neutered, up to date on my shots and heartworm negative.

Our adoption fees are:
Dogs: $250
Cats: $95
Puppies under 4 months: $235 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100
Kittens under 4 months: $70 plus Spay/Neuter Deposit: $100

All pets available for adoption have been spayed or neutered (unless under 4 months please read about our adoptions here ), are current on vaccinations and preventatives, and micro-chipped. Cats have been tested and confirmed negative for Feline AIDS and Leukemia. Dogs have been tested for heartworm disease.

Our shelter is located at 42 Deep River Rd in Sanford and is open Tues, Thurs,  & Fri from 3pm - 7pm & Sat from 10-2pm (other times available by appointment). CARA's adoption process and online application can be found at  http://www.cara-nc.org/info/adoption

Every animal that comes into the CARA program is here because one or more events occurred  that led to this animal needing not only a home, but a person or family to love and protect them.
