Adoptathons are scheduled for every first Saturday of the Month. The Shelter is open every first Sunday of the Month. You will have the opportunity to visit even more with your possible new Family Member. The Puppies will be out to visit. You will be able meet them and speak with our Adoptathon Coordinator Laurie Trusdell and other CARA representatives about the Puppies , Adoptions and the wide variety of other information material we can provide. If you already know that you are interested in one of our animals, you can fill out an Application in advance. If approved, a Application is good for six month from the Date of Approval. As always Volunteers are welcome to join us to provide transportation and to introduce our Puppies to their possible new parents. Please email our Volunteer Coordinator Billy Hutchins at volunteer@cara-nc.org if you are interested in volunteering.   09/15/2008 to 09/28/2008   Our Kitties at PetSmart   Come out to visit CARA Kitties at the Apex NC Petsmart located off HWY 55 in Apex, NC. The kitties are on display for two weeks each month. Friends of CARA are encouraged to stop in and ensure our CARA kitties are healthy and happy! If you would like to volunteer and help out with things like: Transportation to/from Petsmart Comforting (It's not their temporary home they are used to and they will never say no to some TLC.) Any minor maintanance like cleaning and checking on food & water that may be needed please e-mail our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@cara-nc.org.   09/17/2008 @ 06:30PM   CARA Board of Directors Meeting   Do you want to know where CARA is heading? Do you have knowledge, experience, motivation, dedication and/or talent that could help CARA move forward? No matter if you just want to see the Board meet or meet the Board, we are looking forward to meet you. They are open to all volunteers, however in the event that we change locations we want to ensure all interested parties know where the meeting will be held. > Location: Oriental Place   09/??/2008 @ 06:30PM   CARA Fundraiser Meeting   Calling all Folks that would like to help other than/besides coming out to the Shelter, are creative, love to organize, or just love to help. The Fundraiser Committee has taken on the great task to organize several High-Impact Events that positively affect the Welfare of our Animals. Here are some examples of volunteer opportunities: Planning/Preparation Phase: Do you have suggestions, experience in any aspects and/or talents that can help? Do you know anybody that can provide items/services we can use or are willing to help located them? Can you help create items like displays, flyers, decoration or other things that can be used? Event Day: Can you transport items needed for an Event to/from the Location? Can you help with the preparation of the Location and the Set-up? Can you stay for part or all of the Event and provide assistance with Greeting Hosting Presenting Information Services needed during the Event Can you help with the Clean-up/Close-up required after an Event? Hotwash: Do you have suggestions on changes that should be made or see things that were suggessful? Are you a Sponsor that has a great idea and would like to offer a Fundraising Opportunity? There are un-countable opportunities to support our Animals and CARA through supporting our Fundraising Events. From simply setting up a table or holding a dog to hosting an Event. One could not do without the Other and without our Volunteers. The Goal is simple: UNTIL THERE ARE NONE, RESCUE ONE!
